The Whole Zodiac:

            The Planets:

      The Sun:

        The Moon:

Saturn:

Jupiter:

          Mars and Venus:

Mercury:

                  Uranus/Neptune/Pluto:

Universal  or Cosmic Man/Woman to which each
individual is related, in  the particular way their
birthday indicates.

The Archetypes. The typical human characteristics
that are distributed in different combinations for
each person

The male conscious Ego, which is the seed of the
Self. The HERO
In a woman's life the position and relationship of the
Sun to other planets may throw light on the masculine
side of her character and thereby on her relationship
with men. The Animus

The feminine unconscious realm. In a man's life the
feminine side of his nature and thereby throws light
on his relationships with women. The Anima

The dark Shadow side of the personality which is also
the principle of transformation. Just as the position
of Sun or Moon in a particular sign of the Zodiac
indicates the strong points of the personality of a man
or Woman, so the position of Saturn indicates the weak
points, that is the Inferior Function.

Intuition. The religious impulse, the creative power
that shapes myths, and thereby governs the destiny
of man/woman. The ideals of man/woman, their
highest aims, in contrast with their depths. Jupiter and
Saturn together form the opposite poles, the top and
bottom of the Cosmic Axis, and the vertical line.

Complement Sun and Moon, as male and female
forces, showing additional subsidiary aspects of the
character, or of the Animus and Anima.

Myth and Astrology are closely interrelated and, like
the God (Mercury/Hermes/Thoth
This planet represents the Trickster figure on the borders of the
conscious and unconscious, who provides the
possibility and means of integrating unconscious
content. .

The outer planets represent supra-personal forces not
unlike the topmost spheres on the tree of life in the Kabbalah,  where the seven other
spheres like the planets are also more closely related to the destiny of man/woman.

These Planets move against the backcloth of the circle of the Zodiac, and it
is the particular position of all of them at the time and place of birth which
indicates the particular personal characteristics of the individual potential.
The possibilities in the future, rather than any predetermined end or result.

The   Opposites

As with symbolism generally, the Opposites of the Zodiac are many
and varied, and cannot be equated. Apart from the opposition of the
planets above, the main division between conscious and unconscious
is marked by the Ascendant sign - the particular constellation rising
above the horizon in the East at the moment of birth  and the Descendant ,
the opposite constellation sinking the the West. It is especially for this aspect
of the birth chart which changes on the hour, as it were, by the cosmic clock
measuring the day and night into twelve grand double hours that the precise
time and place of birth is needed. The qualities of the Ascendant sign are
expressed in the individual's conscious behaviour (often more so than the
sun sign) and the Descendant expresses the unconscious, to be found within
themselves (As Inferior Function) ,as well as in others, often a partner,
chosen to complement his or her deficiencies. The opposition of Masculine
and Feminine is depicted in the planets but also in the signs. The masculine
features in the individual's particular birth-chart will be more accessible to
men and less to women, and vice versa.
It is precisely the complexity that builds up from these basic ingredients that
enable the Zodiac to do justice to the living situation, arising from its map of
possibilities. 'Everything in the birth-chart has its opposite'
